Innovation Class?

I had posted earlier that there are a lot of different opinions on what exactly innovation is. Well whatever it is, it is sure getting a lot of attention. According to Google, the number of hits for “Innovation 2005” at 252 million was double that of “Innovation 2004” at 116 million. “Innovation” also generates responses an order of magnitude greater than “Lean Manufacturing” and “Six Sigma”

I have to admit I love the idea of innovation. It conjures up images of something that is fresh, new, useful, hip, clever, better. But I hate the idea that Innovation may become the next corporate training package of the month. Destined to the same fate as “Total Quality”, “Six Sigma Quality”, and “Process Re-engineering.”
