Change

Very rarely does change happen abruptly. Often, it is subtle differences that you don’t even realize are occurring. Take for example this picture I took of a couple looking at some pictures that were stored on a cell phone. Ten years ago, when we looked at pictures it meant leafing through a stack of 30 photos. Today, it’s passing a cell phone around the table.
There is a lesson here about change that is applicable to organizations. In an organization the successful change initiatives are going to be the subtle ones that evolve over time; the ones where folks aren’t really that sure that change is even happening.
