On average, every month, an airline pilot is found to have more than the legal amount (0.04%) of alcohol in their blood.1
There are a lot of amazing questions that this statistic conjures up. The biggest one is why is the legal limit not 0.00%. At what point did having any alcoholic drinks before you fly become OK?
